Check out the latest at Allen Mill craft units in the old lead smelting mill, once connected by a quarter mile of track to Allendale Station, now the caravan park. You can also stay at 4* Station House Self Catering, set in the waiting rooms and ticket office of the terminal station on the long-closed Hexham to Allendale Line. Use our cosy wood-burning stove and help yourself to wood from our own managed trees. Recent ‘bronze’ winner in ‘Self Catering Holiday of the Year’ in the North East Tourism Awards.
