Peter's preferred subjects are cityscape, landscape, portrait and the figure.
He usually sets up a portable easel and works rapidly in oil, acrylic, watercolour or pastel to try and capture the atmosphere of the place, time and day, or the essence of a person. He likes to work directly from life as much as possible, usually completing work in the studio.
His work is in many collections including those of Cherie and Tony Blair, the Queen Mother, Lord Dearing, Sir John Hall and many corporate and private collectors in Britain and abroad.
