A display of books, Art Tour 2009

Liz has been bookbinding since 2001, and regularly attends a group at the Literary & Philosophical Society in Newcastle. She is a member of the Society of Bookbinders.

There are probably many booklovers who have well-used books which are losing their covers. Liz would love the opportunity to restore them. She does private commissions, and has rebound books for Hartlepool Museums Service and Tees Archaeology. She also custom-made a visitors' book for Princess Anne to sign, at the re-launch of the Lifeboat “Princess Royal” in Hartlepool.

Liz also makes blank books and boxes. She is a member of Artists’ Network, and has participated in the Art Tour in 2007, 2008 and at Pebbles Gallery in 2009. She is the Events Secretary of the Society of Northumbrian Craftsmen and a Pebbles Network Member.
